Six teams remain undefeated with a 2-0 record at the 2020 USA Softball 12-Under All-American Games after two days of action in Oklahoma City: Region 4’s Blue team. Region 5’s Red/White/Blue teams, Region 6’s Red team, and Region 10’s Red team.

Region 4 Blue began their All-American Games run on Friday with a double-digit 20-3 win over Region 7 Blue before posting a 5-1 victory over Region 2 Red on Saturday to go 2-0 in the tournament. Kaileigh Byars and Taylor Martin went the distance in Game 2, combining for six strikeouts and allowing one run on three hits through five innings of play, while Isabella Coker led the team with 2 RBI.

After Friday’s 2-0 shutout performance, Region 5 Red added to the win column with a 4-3 victory over Region 3 Blue. Holding each other scoreless through the opening three innings, it was Region 5 Red that plated four runs in the top of the fourth inning and held off Region 3 Blue in the bottom half of the frame to secure the win. The fourth inning was highlighted by Laila Nobles, who came up big for her team with a bases-clearing triple.

Starting their All-American Games experience with the 4 p.m. CT opening game on Hall of Fame Stadium – OGE Energy Field Friday, Region 5 White came to play Saturday and recorded a 3-2 win over Region 3 White before defeating Region 1 Blue, 13-1. Mia Clemmer had a team-high two RBI in Region 5 White’s first win of the day, while nine different batters recorded at least one hit in the later game.

Following a 2-1 victory over Region 4 Red on Friday night, Region 5 Blue collected another narrow 5-4 win over Region 1’s White squad. Region 5 Blue plated five runs on nine hits, including Anayah Walker-Small’s walk-off two-run homerun to seal the win.

Region 6 Red added a second win on Saturday, defeating Region 7 Red, 9-7, on Field 3. Region 6 Red tallied 11 hits with Jaycie Goad, Kennedy Wangler and Miah Berhenke collecting two apiece.

Region 10 Red outscored their opponents 13-2, allowing a solo run to cross the plate in each of their pool play games on Saturday. Plating six runs on six hits and limiting Region 1 Red to just one run on two hits for a 6-1 final score, Region 10 Red moved on to face Region 3 Red and claim a 7-1 win. Taylor Johns and Leila Diebert each collected two RBI, with Jaelyn Toledo striking out two batters and allowing a solo run on five hits through her four innings of work.

In addition to their pool play games, each team had the opportunity to compete against fellow regions on historic USA Softball Hall of Fame Stadium – OGE Energy Field that did not count for seeding. The single-elimination bracket begins tomorrow, Sunday, August 16 at 8:30 a.m. CT, with the Championship Game set for 5:15 p.m. CT on USA Softball Hall of Fame Stadium – OGE Energy Field.
