The Hogs went 1-3 this past weekend with DH's vs Aurora Dolan & Murphy and the Thomson Merchants.  The Hogs are now 3-5 with 3 of those losses by just one run.  The Hogs have stepped it up against tough competition including five of their first eight games against ISC ranked teams.  The Hogs are now off until May 17th when they open in the Yorkville Fastball League.  The team will be cheering on the Cortland Razorbacks, who will act as the farm team for the Hogs, as they open play in Montgomery, Illinois on Saturday against an Aurora Church League team in a DH.  Below are the weekend recaps.

The Hogs win their first ever game against the Shamrocks and had a 14-3 lead into the bottom of the seventh.  The Shamrocks fought back for 6 runs in the bottom of the seventh to make it close.

Vic Flores on loan from BHAC Pride pitched well.  Thomson scored 6 runs in the third inning all with 2 outs after a Hog error.

Flores threw well again.  The Hogs played well and had chances but could not get the runs in when they needed it.
