September 5, 2022
Kitchener, ON - - 1972 HOCKEY SUMMIT SERIES -- Invitation to 50th Anniversary Local Celebration
- From our good friend, John Thompson
Where were you in September 1972?
If you're age 50 or older, you might recall the memorable 1972 Hockey Summit Series featuring Team Canada and the Soviet Union.
You might even remember Paul's Henderson's memorable goal in Moscow on Sept. 28, 1972 (see attached image) with 0:34 seconds remaining in Game #8.
PERSONALLY.... I remember... because I was there.... YES there in Moscow..., one of 3,300 Canadian fans who witnessed that game in the 13,000 seat Luzhniki Sports Palace.
