New York, NY - - 2024 Peligro Cup Cancelation
It is with sincere disappointment that due to complications with WBSC qualifying events and the loss of a number of key personnel committed to respective National Teams, Peligro Cup sponsor Jose' Mateo and I have made the tough decision to cancel our tournament scheduled for June 27 to 30, 2024, in New York City.
The Peligro Cup event has long been one of the cornerstone fastball events each summer, attracting both some of the best club teams and players in the game and a voracious fan base in the Bronx. The back drop of Yankee Stadium is a postcard photo memory for players from around the world.
The cost of running a world class tournament has excalated every year for the Peligro team. It is hoped that 2025 will allow us all to get back on hallowed ground at old Yankee Stadium.
Best of luck to all 6 teams who committed to compete in 2024, we look forward to seeing you all back in the "big apple" to prepare for the WBSC World Series in 2025.
