The 6th annual Boulevard Lounge tournament was completed over the weekend to perfect weather and conditions.  Many thanks to the tournament committee of Marc Gillis, Lee Isenhart and Joe Squires for enabling a smoothly run and efficient tournament.

Twisters – Freed, Brandt, Rutledge each with 2 hits. Kelders – Schneider with 2 hits.

DeLau – Beebe with grand slam HR and 6 RBI.

Mickeys – Way with 2 hits. Blalock with a 2-run HR.

Duncan – Hodge 4x4 with HR. S. Kelly with HR. Foor with game winning double in bottom of the 8th.
Twisters – Freed 3x4. Brandt 2 doubles. Faccio and Thurston with HRs.

DeLau – Fulmer and Kucharczyk each with 2 hits. Boyd 3x3.

Twisters – Faccio with 2 RBI and John Brandel with 2 hits.
Duncan – Gaugler, Cobb, Foor, and Brown (HR) each with 2 hits.
Twisters were down 7-5 in the 7th, but a with a runner on 1st, Guy Thurston hit a triple to drive in 1 and scored on an overthrow to tie the game. A John Brandel sacrifice fly in the bottom of the 8th scored the winning run.
 
A Division – 1st Place – Michigan Twisters. 2nd Place – Duncan Outlaws
Most Valuable Pitcher – Ryan Nichols – Twisters – 3 wins including championship game.
Most Valuable Hitter – Craig Foor – Duncan – 12x19, 1 HR.

All runs scored in 6th inning. Crawford 2x3, RBI. Beane and Ketelhut with one RBI each.

Scarborough 4, Ashland 3
WP – Skelton (6K), LP – Wilson (11K)
Ashland scored 2 unearned runs and Gerard Long had a solo HR. Scarborough – A. Scott and Skelton with an RBI each and Lang with 2 RBI, including game-winning single in bottom of the 7th.

Twins 7, Planggers 6 (9 innings)
WP – D. Scott (in relief of Koert), LP – Sleep (in relief of Plangger)
Twins – Eidt, B. Miller, Levy, White each with 2 hits. Dale Levy double for game-winning hit in bottom of 9th.
Planggers – Binkley, Liebler, Brown each with 2 hits. Wiley with 2-RBI triple.

Explorers - Benson 2x4, Moore 2x3 (HR). Frick 3x4. Beane 3x3, 2 RBI. Crawford 2 RBI.
Twins - Eidt 3x4 (HR), 2 RBI. Levy 4x4 (HR), 3 RBI.
Twins jumped to a 5-0 lead after 3 innings, but Explorers scored 5 in bottom of inning. Twins back with 2 in the 4th and Explorers answered with 4 in the bottom of that inning. Four more Midland runs in the 5th and 6th ended the slugfest.
 
ISC Division – 1st Place – Midland Explorers. 2nd Place – Kitchener Hallman Twins.
 
ISC World Tournament Berths awarded – Planggers and Ashland (this tournament was an ISC East Region qualifier. Explorers already earned their berth via the Erie tournament. Kitchener and Scarborough are Canada East teams).
 
Most Valuable Pitcher - Grant Patterson, Explorers - 3-0, 21 innings, 30K, 1R, 3BB.
Most Valuable Hitter - Dale Levy, Twins - 12x21. 3 HR.
