Finals
#8Circle Tap 4 #5The Farm(Madison, WI) 2
CT 4 5 2
FT 2 5 0
The Tappers avenged a pool play loss to The Farm taking the championship
game from the cross state rival. Steve Schucker led off the game with a
solo shot. CT took a 2-0 lead on a solo shot from Kyle VanAbel in the
3rd. The Farmers made it a 2-1 game in the bottom half on a Jeff
Goolagong solo homer. CT got solo homers from Frankie Perez(4th inning)
and Kyle VanAbel(5th inning) to make it 4-1. The Farm made it 4-2 as
Goolagong picked up a base hit and would later score on a sac fly by Ryan
Kostel. With the game running late and Farm flight issues the teams
agreed that after the farm batted in the bottom of the 6th, that they
would bat their 7th inning immediately after. Should they even the game
or take a lead then CT would be allowed to bat their half of the inning.
However, Farm didn't score, game completed. Schucker HR, Perez HR, Van
Abel 2HR.
