I.S.C. Executive Committee Rescinds Out-of-Area Pitcher Rule Revision
Following receipt of a number of questions from members of the Board of Directors, the Executive Committee of the ISC has rescinded a clarification in the Out-of-Area Pitcher Rule which was passed earlier by the Executive Committee.
With this action, the dates and the wording of the rule published in the 2006 ISC Guide (p. 148, second paragraph, shaded sentences) will be the rule followed in limiting to two the number of out-of-area pitchers which a team may play in the ISC World Tournament. Teams having more than 2 out-of-area pitchers must declare their World Tournament pitchers by August 1 and offer a release to any “excess” out-of-area pitchers.
It should be noted carefully that this rule applies only to teams having three or more Out –of-Area pitchers. Any number beyond two who are released in compliance with this rule are eligible to be picked up for the World Tournament by any team in any area. No team may play in the World Tournament with more than two Out-of-Area pitchers.
