QUEBEC DOUBLES P.E.I.

- Quebec scored six runs over a three-inning span en route to a 6-3 win over the host P.E.I. Source for Sports Twins Thursday night here.
Charles Hebert (3-4, triple, two runs scored), Steve Savard (1-2, run scored, RBI) and Jonathan Darveau (1-3, RBI) led the Quebec atatck.
P.E.I. was led offensively by Ryan Gallant (1-4, run scored), John Arsenault (2-3, triple), Matt Dawson 91-3, run scored) and Alex MacDonald (1-3, RBI).
Pascal Gonthier went the distance to earn the win striking out five, walking one and giving up three runs on five hits.
Neil Arnold suffered the loss going two and two third innings, allowing two unearned runs on two hits, walking six and striking out one.
 
Putnam continues impressive display, fans 11

- Andrew Putnam continued his impressive pitching display, striking out 11 throwing a complete game four hitter in leading his Scarborough Wolverines past Simcoe Wildcats 5-2 here Thursday night.
Putnam's Wolverines scored three times on four hits to open a 2-2 deadlocked game en route to the win and a second place finish in round robin play.
Cam Haulk (1-2, two RBI, run scored), Nick Dambrosio (2-4, run scored), Brad Fogal (1-1, run scored, RBI) and Jake Taylor (1-1, RBI) had the hot bats.
Chris Kett (1-1, RBI), Derek Bannon (1-3, run scored) and Will Fehrman (1-3) powered Simcoe.
Scott Marshall suffered the loss going six strong innings, surrendering five runs on six hits, walking six and striking out seven.
 
Lewis' bat sends NL to delayed win over Sask.

- Mark Lewis had yet to show off his batting potential a great deal here at the 2007 Causeway Bay Softball Canada Junior Men's fast pitch championship.
Thursday night in his Newfoundland and Labrador Kelly's Pub Canadians postponed contest with the Saskatchewan Junior Diamondbacks, the third basemen showed it off hitting a three run home run to go along with an RBI single in the first inning in leading NL to a perfect 8-0 round robin record with a 6-3 victory.
Lewis hit his three run home run Thursday night, early Friday morning after the suspended game resumed with the Diamondbacks ahead 2-1 in the bottom of the third.
Brad Ezekiel added a solo shot of his own in the fifth inning to make it a five run fifth for the defending champions.
Jason Hill (2-3, two runs scored), Jon Kane (2-4, run scored), Ken Gosse (1-3, run scored) and Wayne Bruce (1-1) also contributed to the win.
Axel Guskojolen (2-4, triple, two runs scored), Barry Sparvier (2-3, run scored) and Dallas Morrison (1-3, RBI) led the D'Backs.
Jason Hill earned the win, fanning 13 while giving up seven hits and three runs.
Kyle Hyrcuik took the loss, going four innings giving up one run on five hits, walking one and striking out six.
