Bev Underwood pitched a tidy 3 hit shutout for the Crunch striking out 9 batters.
The Crunch opened the scoring with 3 in the first.
Troy Barfoot got on board via an error and scored on a single by Tony Lisk.
Lisk was back in Owen Sound after playing earlier in the day at the ISC World Championships in Kitchener.
Centerfielder Mike Majury followed with a two run blast to left center field to give the Crunch a 3-0 lead after 1.
From there, Underwood and Scott Charlton of the Selects matched pitches until the 6th.
Charlton was pressed into service as both of the Selects pitchers are at the Canadian Championships in Saskatoon.
Nolan Kreis is pitching for Chepstow at the event while David Juniper was added by the Linwood Chiefs.
In the bottom of the 6th, the Crunch put the game away.
With Majury and Chris Barfoot on base, third baseman Jason Redmond singled to left scoring the final two runs of the game
Charlton gave up 5 hits in the game and was let down by a number of errors behind him as several Selects were in unfamiliar positions, filling in for players away at Saskatoon.
