The host Roebothan, McKay and Marshall team broke with four runs in the first inning and went on to hang a 6-1 loss on Poly Plus Sr Diamondbacks of Saskatchewan Tuesday at the Labatt 2007 Senior Men’s Canadian Fastpitch Championships at the Caribou Memorial Complex in St. John’s, NL.
            Ward Gosse allowed only five hits for seven innings to hurl the victory while Bob Scheller surrendered 11 hits to suffer the loss.
            Robbie O’Brien included a three run homee in his three hits for the host entry while Colin Abbott and Stephen Mullaley each added two hits. Troy Gordon had two hits for the Diamondbacks.
