Despite a two home run showing by Donny Cleary, Aspen Interiors of Saskatchewan edged Impact Signs of Newfoundland and Labrador Tuesday at the Labatt 2007 Senior Men’s Canadian Fastpitch Championships at the Caribou Memorial Complex in St. John’s, NL.
            The loss was the second of the day for Impact and left the club with a 3-2 record and a tie for fourth spot overall.
            Dean Holoien gave up ten hits but was tough in the clutch for the win. Matt Bramwell started and lost for Impact Signs with Sean Whitten and Donny Cleary also seeing duty.
            Darrell Joy and Trevor Ethier collected two hits each for the winners. Mark Dwyer and Justin Gill joined Cleary with hits for Impact Signs as Cleary’s pair of round trippers was responsible for four runs batted in.
            Five runs in the fourth inning on three hits and three errors made the difference for Aspen Interiors.
