Australia

Hello Al
Over the weekend the Schutt Hitmen played a double header in the Western Travel League.
With 2 wins we move to 11-1 so far, the teams is really coming together and working very well.

Game 1
Schutt Hitmen   14
v
Geelong Cougars  3

WP Jim Grego  6 inns 15 K s 6 hits
LP Morgan Sqiure 6 Ks

The First inning saw the Geelong cougars come out in a blaze of glory with 2 runners on and 1 out
Geelong number 4 hitter and new father Michael Firman sent a 3 run shot over the left field wall.
But the Schutt boys also came out blasting with a 6 run first innings with hits from youngster Josh Hurinui
his uncle Gary Hurinui and also Brandon Chase. With strong defence the schutt team held off any more Cougar
attacks and closed out the game in fine fashion

Game 2
Schutt Hitmen  4
v
Melbourne Comets 2

WP Jim Grego  7 inns    17 Ks
LP Lewis Weldon 6 inns  8 Ks

In there second game of the day the Schutt Hitmen where led by the strong Defence from Jim Grego and Mike Hurinui
both who had been involved in the first game seemed stronger and more dominating against the stronger Melbourne Comets
line up.
With the score locked at 0-0 going into the bottom of the 4th inns Gary & Jamie Hurinui combined for 2 runs off a Alex Bolitho blast to
left field. The score stayed at 2 - 0 for the next 2 inns when Gary & Jaime crossed again on a Josh Barnes Triple to the centre right gap
Melbourne Comets still had some fight in them in the top of the 7th with 2 home runs with none out, but in fine Hitmen fashion Grego ended
the game striking out the next 3 hitters to close out a great day for the Schutt Hitmen.
