Fastball Pair to be Inducted to Owen Sound Sports Hall of Fame


Fastball legend Brad Underwood and Builder Bill Simpson will both be inducted in the Owen Sound Sports Hall of Fame in May.

Underwood was Canada's top left-handed fastball pitcher in the 1980s and 1990s. He went 487-179 with close to 7,000 strikeouts for three Owen Sound teams - King Farms, the Canadian Tiremen and the Selects

Bill Simpson's longtime involvement with fastball has earned him a spot in the hall of fame as a builder. He pitched, coached, managed and was the president of Owen Sound's midget, junior and senior men's fastball teams for over a period of 50 years.
