CT @ Wisconsin Travel League

May 30, 2006

Denmark, WI

May 26-28
Denmark, WI

The Circle Tap Fastpitch team hosted the WI Classic League at Circle Tap
and came away with a disappointing 2-2 mark (4-5 overall). The bats are
still very much in hibernation here in the early going. When you look up
and down our line up it's hard to figure out how we're not scoring but
it's happening and hopefully that will change in the very near future.

Game 1
Circle Tap 7 The Bar of Appleton 0 5innings
CT 7 8 1
TB 0 1 1
The Tappers came out whacking in their home debut of the 2006 season
grabbing 5 runs in the 1st. Jess Ellestad led off with a double and
scored on a Chris Delarwelle double, Don Garvey singled putting runs on
the corners, both of them scored on a Todd Malnory double, Kevin Reichardt
followed with a base hit again putting runners on the corners and both of
them scored on a Darren Derricks base hit. The score remained 5-0 until
the 3rd whem Malnory picked up another double and would later score on a
Darren Derricks ground out. CT picked up the final run in the 5th on a
Don Garvey home run. Garvey 2x3 HR, Malnory 2x3 2-2B 2RBI, Derricks 1x2

Game 2
Circle Tap 2 PMF/The Bar 1
PT 1 3 1
CT 2 5 2
Circle Tap squeeked out a tight one against a good young local team in
PMF/The Bar. CT took a 1-0 lead in the bottom half of the 3rd as Kyle
Magnusson doubled with one out and Don Garvey followed with an RBI double.
PMF/The Bar would even the score in the 4th as Ric Thompson picked up a
one out base hit and with two out Dick Kouba knocked an RBI triple. CT
went ahead in the 6th on a solo shot by pitcher Matt Bramwell.

Game 3
Circle Tap 0 Townline 1
CT 0 3 0
TL 1 5 0
This was a classic pitchers duel and was a very tight game the entire way.
A rowdy obnoxious crowd cheering for and against both squads fueled the
already competive sides against each other. In the 3rd inning following a
couple base hits Kevin Reichardt got called out on a very tight call at
the plate which almost got the benches clearing. The crowd was split on
the call and I personally didn't have a good angle. It was very close
either way. Townline scored in the bottom of the 6th as Jim Corbett
singled and with one out Nick Lamphere hit a ball to shallow left field
which was misjudged as it got lost in the lights allowing Corbett to
score.

Game 4
Circle Tap 2 CT Lumberjacks 7
LJ 7 11 2
CT 2 4 1
The Tappers came out with very slow bats against our brother team. Jon
Zipperer hit a two run homer off the scoreboard and Brad Dvorachek hit a 2
run shot for the Lumberjacks. Chris Delarwelle and Don Garvey hit back to
back solo shots for CT in the 6th.
