The Vancouver Grey Sox travelled into the interior of BC this weekend as the guests of the Kamloops Minor Softball Association for a four game super series against opposition provided by the local mens league.  The weekend started with a successful minor ball clinic where Grey Sox personnel spent time with the local youth providing drills and tips to the attendees.  Sincere thanks to our hosts and we applaud them for their efforts in keeping the sport alive in Kamloops.

Kevin Rasmussen (Everett, WA) led the Grey Sox offense with a 3 - 4 performance at the plate, Kevin Schellenberg (Squamish, BC) was 2 for 4 and Scott Newitt (Delta, BC) was 2 for 3.

LP - Garrett Toma
Brian Ree (Gresham, OR) led the Sox with a 4 for 5 performance at the plate, including 2 homeruns, one which was a grand slam.  Kevin Schellenberg was 4 for 5 also with 2 homeruns.  Kevin Rasmussen was 4 for 4.

Andrew Medwedrich (Sooke, BC) led the Grey Sox offense with a 3 for 3 performance at the plate.  Brian Banner (Sooke, BC) was 2 for 3.

Kevin Schellenberg 3 for 4 including 2 homeruns, Kevin Ramsussen 2 for 4 with a homerun and Scott Newitt 2 for 4 with a homerun led the Grey Sox offense.
 

Next Action for the Grey Sox is May 24 & 25 when the team will travel to Pueblo, Colorado to participate in the Joe Santos Memorial Tournament.
