Friday results from the 5th annualHooligan’s/Molson’s Snapper Shootout, which kicked off this eveningwith 16 teams competing for over $500 in prize money with the winning teamtaking home $2500. 12 of the competing teams are in the top 42 ISC II rankings,2 of the teams are highly touted junior teams out of Ontario, and the hostNiagara Snappers are competing this year at the ISC WT.  All these factorsadd up to the Shootout being one of North America’s toughest tournamentsto win.

Anyone reading this that is within driving distance shouldcome down for the day to enjoy some of the best fastball action that you willsee outside of the ISC World Tournament and Tournament of Champions.

With the temperatures expected to soar over 90 degrees allweekend, what better way to spend it then by finding a nice patch of shade, acold beer and a burger and watch some fastball.  We have cold beer (andlots of it), great food at the concession stand, plenty of seating for thefans, a live band in the beer tent on Saturday night, and you can also pick upour FREE 30+ page FULL COLOUR program which has agreat article by ISC Canada East Vice-President and ISC II Commissioner BlairSetford, hundreds of pictures from last year’s Shootout, ISC and ISC IIrankings, stats, a recap of the 2007 Snapper Shootout, tournament schedules andmuch more.   It is by far one of the nicest programs put out therefor any level of fastball tournament in North America.

Al Doran of Al’s Fastball (www.alsfastball.com) and Joe Todd of theISC are also on hand all weekend to take in some great fastball action. We are very excited to have both men attend our tournament for the first time. Al Doran will be providing regular updates throughout the weekend so make sureto check his site regularly.  I will try and provide daily recaps by theend of the day or the following morning.
