Tom McAvoy update

A Manager, Coach, and Friend, is in need of the Fastpitch Community thoughts and prayers.
Tom McAvoy, aka Mac, was diagnosed a month and one half ago with Pancreatic Cancer. He underwent some preliminary procedures and came home a little over a week ago. Billy Smith and myself dropped in on him last week and found that he was in great spirits and getting quite active. The doctors even told him he could start driving, just not up to "Mac" speed yet. Tom and Jeanne got the news Monday that the problem was serious and he would embark on a program to shrink the size of the mass, for its' removal in three months or so. Mac plans on making a couple of the big tourneys this season to see some great ball and watch the players perform. Most of whom have played for him at one time or another. Mac's hanging out at home and I'm sure would appreciate a call or two to break up his day and share the latest ballyard news.
