Championships begin at 3:00 pm. PDT, Saturday, June 28, 2008 on

Kyle Smith and Jim Flanagan will be bringing you live audio from the
medal rounds of the final two days of the tournament. The two-man crew
has broadcast eight (8) games over the past two days, with four more
to go, two Saturday and two on Sunday.

CANADA SECURES MEDAL AT JR MEN'S
 
WHITEHORSE, YUKON - Shane Boland of Newfoundland and Labrador scored the game winning run on a bottom of the seventh RBI single by Terrell Walker as Canada secured a medal at the ISF JR MEN'S WORLD SOFTBALL CHAMPIONSHIPS with a thrilling 2-1 win over New Zealand.
The win means three Nova Scotia players, and the team's head coach will be bringing home no less then bronze when they return. Patrick Avery of Larry's River, Aaron Long of Guysborough and Adam Day of Enfield are on the team, coached by Middle Musquodobit native Tom Doucette.
Dustin Keschane struck out 11 Kiwi hitters. He had 16 in a no hitter against Team USA Friday night to give him 27 strikeouts in 15 innings of work.

Canada will face the loser of Australia and Japan at that time, set for later Saturday night, for the right to go to the championship at 7:30 p.m. ADT.
