Argentina National Team to visit Tavistock, and St. Thomas, ON

July 14, 2008

Tavistock, ON

The Argentina National Team will visit the village of Tavistock, Ontario on Thursday July 17th to take part in the Grand Opening of the newly refurbished Queens Park Ball Diamond. Opening Ceremonies will take place at 6:45pm followed by Argentina versus the SOUTH PERTH ALL STARS @ 7:00pm and Argentina versus the KITCHENER RIVERSHARK TWINS @ 9:00pm. Tavistock was one of the host centres to the New Zealand Black Sox tour last summer and another large crowd is expected on Thursday for the Argentina visit.

Tavistock, Ontario is located on Hwy #59 just 15 minutes north of Woodstock, 5 minutes south of Shakespeare, 15 minutes southeast of Stratford and 20 mintes southwest of Kitchener. The Queens Park Ball Diamond is located straight south of the main intersection in Tavistock (there is only one set of traffic lights in the village) adjacent to the Tavistock Arena and Memorial Hall. Tavistock Minor Ball in conjunction with the Township of East Zorra-Tavistock have recently completed a full renovation of the faciltiy including new lights, fencing, warm-up areas and covered team benches. The park looks fantastic and this evening will serve as a fundraiser for Tavistock Minor Ball for these park improvements and more. There will be a LISCENSED BEER TENT, food concessions, and many more events involving our Minor Ball players. It should be an exciting evening of Fastball and we look forward to showcasing our new facility to our Argentinian visitors and our fastball friends across the province.

Tickets will be available at the gates, so come on out and enjoy an entertaining evening and support our local youth fastballers. WE look forward to seeing you there.

Vice President
Tavistock Minor Ball Association
