The International Softball Congress and the Kimberly Recreation Association are pleased to announce that on Thursday, August 14th the Blazing Stars, an adult Special Olympics softball team from the Fox Valley, will be playing with and against players from the World Tournament.

Invitations have been sent to each WT team to participate and representatives from the Thomson Merchants, Circle Tap, the Bar of Appleton, the Midland Explorers and the Bar of Green Bay have already responded back to be part of the game.  Many more are expected and all players are welcome.

The game will be played at 7:00 p.m. on the main diamond at Sunset Park where the Blazing Stars and World Tournament players will combine groups and play an exhibition game.  World Tournament UIC Bruce Bierman will have a crew of Blue to officiate and Fastpitchwest.com's Jim and Maddy Flanagan are going to be there as well.

I would like to encourage and invite players and fans to come out on the 14th to watch and support the game.  It's going to be a great addition to the World Tournament week and a chance for the ISC to continue to support a top-notch organization like the Special Olympics.
