With hard overnight rains, we spent the good majority of 7am to 2pm at the field but mostly on the phone, attempting multiple reschedules trying to accomodate teams.  Unfortunately we were at the mercy of continued poor weather.  With the tournament format out the window, we moved to a round robin schedule and had the field halfway ready for a 3pm start only to get another hard downpour between 12:30 - 1:00pm.

Unfortunately, all games on Saturday are cancelled.

Thanks to Chicago Fastpitch, Thomson Merchants, and Quad City Sox for agreeing to sit out the tournament so we could try and salvage some games for the remaining teams that had already traveled in and checked into their Saturday-night hotels.

With 5 teams remaining and only 3 time slots of field availability Sunday, we will be running two fields at 9am, 11am, and 1pm with the following schedule:

9am
Ashland vs. Townline
Circle Tap vs. Midwest

11am
Ashland vs. Aurora
Townline vs. Midwest

1pm
Townline vs. Circle Tap
Aurora vs. Midwest

Apologies again to Circle Tap who drew the short end of the stick with only two games and a game to sit in between...this was random as there was no way to meet everyone's needs.

We are hoping for no more rain and hope to provide game results tomorrow evening.

SUNDAY MORNING NEWS:
AURORA AFSA CLASSIC TOURNAMENT RAINED OUT

With no more rain in the forecast, we somehow got hit again with hard rain overnight and the fields are washed.  We were really at the mercy of untimely weather.  We had a field crew out last night trying to get the field in good enough condition for our 9am start, but the amount of rain was unbelievable and the fields are a mess this morning.

We wish Townline, Circle Tap, Midwest Stampede, and Ashland safe trips home.
