Elmira Cubs Fastball Tournament this weekend.

Brad Thomson, tournament chair of the Elmira Cubs Classic tournament
invites all ISC fastball fans to Waterloo for the weekend.
The "Elmira Cubs Classic" opens on Friday nite at Hillside Park in
Waterloo and continues Saturday and Sunday, with the championship set
for 3pm Sunday afternoon.
Ten teams entered this mid summer tournament, six of them on their way
to Wisconsin for the ISC II Tournament of Champions including the Cubs,
Bridgeport Braves, Kitchener Outlaws, Wellington (Elora) Brewers,
Waterdown Hammer, and Oswego (NY) CPI.
The Ayr Vics,and Newmarket Stingers along with two good junior teams,
the Elmira Advanced Millwright Jrs, and the Scarborough Wolverine
Juniors fill out the tournament
There is no charge for admission to the park, play starts Friday
evening with games at 7 and 9. Hillside Park is located at the corner
of Columbia Street and Marsland Drive, just east of Weber and Columbia.
(Out of town fans, take University Ave West, then three lights to
Marsland Dr turn right and up the hill to the park.)
Food and beverages will be provided at the pavilion, with the Village
Caterer providing lots of good food out of the Chipper wagon. Try the
beef on a bun.
This tournament is a great test just a week before 6 of these teams head
to Wisconsin.
