The Dog House North Stars may of had a average season if you talk to their players and other league members but Wednesday night they proved why they are two time defending league champions and champions of three of the last four seasons.Their strong bats showed playoff fever as they exploded for 10 runs on 15 hits winning going away 10-3.Randy Dennis picked up his 9th mound victory of the season and 1st of these 2008 playoffs.Al Guenette suffered the loss for the Whitefish Lake First Nation Steelers .
The semi finals resume on Thursday night in Garson at the Lorne Brady Memorial Park.In the opener at 7 PM the North Stars will try to take a stranglehold in their series "A" best of five semi finals.In the nightcap under the lights , two rivals the Garson Hounds (finished second) open their best of 5 semi finals series "B" against the Pickerel River (finished third) Cardinals.
Game three in series "A" goes next Monday at 7 PM and game two of series "B will be at 9 PM .Both games will be played at the Rick McDonald Memorial Sports Complex in Azilda.
Don't forget up coming in Garson in 8 days the third annual Northern Ontario Fastball Championships.
