After two tie-breakers this morning, Mike Oakes WeldingSelects, Team Nova Scotia and Brantford Heat were eliminated and will not beplaying in the Championship round. The Tie-Breakers were hard fought andBrantford won their first game to be defeated by Team Quebec shortly after.
Our first Championship games were held this evening withSaskatoon Aspen Selects facing the Sooke Smoke Midgets. The game was veryclose right up until the last inning where Saskatoon took the lead and won 2 to1.
In the second game, two very even teams faced each other –Paul Davis Systems and Napanee Express. Another very close game had PaulDavis Systems in the lead until the end of the 7th, where a home runby Napanee put them into the lead and won the game.
