The Saskatoon Aspen Selects won the Canadian Midget Boy's Softball Championship in Brantford today. After 20 hours of rain washed out the remaining playoff games, the Selects were the top ranked reamaing team and thus were named Champion. They went undefeated for the whole tournament winning nine consecutive games, including a thrilling 2-1 playoff victory over the Defending Champions Sooke Smoke. Three Select players recieved awards: Devon McCullough was named MVP of the of the preliminary round and Travis Dauvin and Monty Scherr were named Tournament All Stars.
