CHAMPIONSHIP FINAL PLAYOFF SCHEDULE
Following the first game of the league championship finals best of 5 affair here is the schedule for the rest of the series : game 2 Thursday August 28th in Garson at the Lorne Brady Memorial Park ; game 3 Thursday September the 4th in Garson at the Lorne Brady Memorial Park ; game 4 if necessary on Monday September the 8th in Azilda at the Rick McDonald Memorial Sport Complex and game 5 if necessary on Thursday September the 11th in Garson at the Lorne Brady Memorial Park .All games will have a start time of 8 PM under the lights.
4TH ANNUAL ALL-STAR CLASSIC
The 4th annual all-star classic pitting the North Shore All-Stars and the Rick McDonald Memorial Fastball League All-Stars goes Saturday September the 13th in Elliot Lake .The game will be preceded by four competitions in fielding , throwing ,running and pitching. I would like all teams from the Rick McDonald league to email me a roster of 3 to 4 players from each team no later than Wednesday September the 8th , 2008 .The game itself will have a 7:30 start time ..

At this time we are sending out best wishes to the Dog House Relics and the Athletics who will be participating this weekend at the annual World's Senior Fastball Championship in North Bay Ontario .
THREE LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP
At the moment there is a three league championship tournament planned for September 2009 .The format will be the following : champions from the Manitoulin Men's Fastball League , champions from the North Shore league , champions from the Rick McDonald Fastball league and a host team . It would be a single round robbin followed by a semi final between the 2nd and third place finishers and finish with a championship game pitting the semi final winner and the first place finisher . Prize money and entry fee yet to be determined . The initial tournament since it will change venue each year will be in the Greater City of Sudbury ..Convener for this tournament will be Roger Legendre in Sudbury , Lawrence Enosse on the Island and a name yet to be determined on the North Shore
4TH ANNUAL NORTHERN ONTARIO FASTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP
Keep in mind that the 4th annual Northerns for ladies and men has already been determined to be August 14th to 16th , 2009 .Tournament convener Roger Legendre
