Greater Ottawa Fastball League update

The match ups for the Greater Ottawa Fastball League semi-finals have been set.
Five time defending champions and first place finisher Ottawa, ON Team Easton (18-2-2) will take on fifth place Carp, ON I4C Victory (12-8-2) in a best-of-five series. Team Easton swept the eighth place Ottawa, ON Blitz (4-13-5) in two straight games in the quarter-finals, while Victory did the same to the fourth place Fitzroy Harbour, ON West Carleton Electric (10-9-3). The Blitz had previously defeated the ninth place Orleans, ON Gators (3-15-2) in a sudden death "play in" game. Dan Konkle will get the bulk of the pitching work for Easton while Neil Cooke and Trevor Wood should see the ball for Carp. Easton won both regular season games by scores of 10-3 and 6-2.
The other best-of-five semi-final will see second place Stittsville, ON 56ers (15-4-3) and the third place Quyon, QC COMBAT Flyers (14-5-2) do battle. Stittsville took out the expansion Greely, ON DNTW Eagles (5-16-1) in two straight in the quarters, while Quyon beat out the veteran sixth place Manotick, ON Lomor Printers (6-14-2) squad in two, with the last game a 12-inning marathon. Dan Bradley and Darren Featherstone throw for the 56ers while the Flyers counter with Matt Greer, Drew Hathway and Joran Graham. Stittsville and Quyon split their regular season meetings, with Quyon winning at home 5-2 and Stittsville winning at home 3-0.
The semi-final winners will meeting a best-of-five final for the "I4C Consulting" trophy.
