The Combat Hitmen kicked off there season for the first time in the Werribee men's Division 1 on Saturday evening.
Taking on the Altona Hawks on a very beautiful Werribee spring day the Hitmen got to work straight away.
With young pitcher Bart Wadley on the mound for the Hawks lead off hitter Todd Grego started the game with a blistering single to Left and the hit just
rolled on from there.
After a first innings score of 5 -0 Jim Grego took the mound for the Hitmen holding Altona to No hits and No runs.
In the 3rd inns Grego was replaced by young up and comer Keiren Butty, Butty who was on debut for the Hitmen closed out the final 3 inns taking a 11 - 0 victory.
Strong hitting performances from Brothers Gary and Jamie Hurinui saw the pair take 7 RBIs between them and both going 3 for 3 at the plate also strong at the plate was
Todd Grego going 2 for 3 and young debutant Keiran Butty landing a triple in his first at bat.
