Twisters Memorial Weekend Shootout

It’s that time of the year again and the tournament staff would like to announce the second annual Twisters Shootout May 22-25. Last year tournament was a big success and this year we hope to have an even bigger and better tournament. Again it will be held at Vets Park just off the shores of the Saginaw River in the heart of Bay City, Michigan, which is also the site for this years NAFA Men’s AA-Major World Series.

Some changes have been made for this years tournament starting with games kicking off Friday night and ending Monday afternoon. Also the tournament has shifted towards and ISC II style bracket format. We hope to have 20 teams with four brackets consisting of five teams in each bracket guaranteeing four games with the top two teams from each bracket competing in a single game elimination playoff. The guaranteed games may change from a four game to a three game depending on the amount of teams and brackets. Teams with Pitchers on the ISC IIineligible list will not be permitted to pitch unless approved by the tournament committee prior to entry date of May 1st. Any team uses an ineligible pitcher will be subject to tournament forfeiture. The entry fee will be $375.00. Tournament winners will be awarded first place trophies and there entry fee will be returned to back to them.

For further information regarding the tournament please fell free to contact Wally Sidelko at wsidelko@yahoo.com or call 1-989-965-1481.

After receiving some feedback from some players and coaches the Twisters Shootout in Bay City, Michigan will end on Sunday May 24th. instead of Monday May 25th.  This will allow teams time for travel especially because Monday is not a holiday for the canadian players and coaches.
