Owen Sound Acquires Leahy Brothers

The Owen Sound Fastball clubs have acquired two prominent pitching brothers for the 2009 ISC season.
Both Matt Leahy & his brother, Luke, have agreed to pitch for the Owen Sound entries.
Matt Leahy will pitch for the Owen Sound Senior Selects according to Manager Lee Jacques.
A gifted pitcher, Leahy has 3 Junior Canadian Championships to his credit, and had a 10th place finish in the Worlds with the Scarborough Wolverines Senior club in 2008.
Jacques states Leahy's younger brother, 20 year old Luke, will pitch for the Owen Sound Volkswagen Junior Selects this year.
Owen Sound fans are very familiar with Leahy as he was a key performer for the Scarborough entry as they won the 2008 Canadian Junior Championship tournament at Duncan McLellan Park in August.
Jacques states the acquisition of Matt Leahy should bump the Senior Selects into contention for a top 10 entry in 2009.
The 2009 Canadian Junior Men's Championship tournament will be hosted again in Owen Sound by the Volkswagen Junior Selects in August and the host club believes they've become a major contender for the title with the acquisition of Luke Leahy.
