Great to hear from you and thanks for the kind thoughts and prayers.
The tumor/blood clot they found in papa during the CT Scan on March 12th was
one third the size of dad's bladder. They have a picture of it and I have
the report from the radiologist.
On Monday dad had a camera inserted in his bladder to decide how to remove
the tumor/mass and to biopsy it.
Much to the surprise of all the doctors, dad received yet another miracle.
They could not find any trace of a tumor/mass/blood clot and are actually
baffled and astonished that it is gone and there is no trace of it being in
there or even attached to the bladder. Indeed another miracle from
somewhere. And dad is crediting the Holy Spirit. So are all the believers.
His doctor, Dr.Hainc, is Ukrainian and is simply awe struck. He cannot
understand how it could disappear. He is looking for a higher power now :-)
Dad is taking many more steps with one person on each side and a wheel chair
behind in the walker today and slowly showing signs of progress. He took 20
steps in 10 minutes and feels like he ran a marathon. His speech is perfect
so we are pleased.

My father is resting comfortably in hospital.
As you may be aware dad received his miracle last Wednesday as he had a major stroke, high fever, shakes, blood pressure dangerously high at 229/120 and internal bleeding all at the same time. During this event around noon, (PDT) dad's family physician, Dr. Hainc, just happened to be downstairs seeing another emergency patient.
While he was there his doctor said something told him to go upstairs immediately to see Bob Henning. That something had to be the Holy Spirit and the prayer from you all.
So Dr. Hainc dropped what he was doing and went immediately to dad's bedside where he was having the above attack (had been going on for a few minutes and gradually getting more severe). He immediately began shouting instructions to the 4 nurses attending with pills, injections, blood work, urine samples, nitro patches and blood pressure monitors. That saved dad's life.
That evening the doctor told my mother and I that only about 1 in 10 patients of any age would have survived such a stroke with that high of a blood pressure and the conditions. Once again we credit the Holy Spirit and all of the prayer from everyone.
As of last night at 8:30 pm (PDT) dad is alert and has regained about 95% of his speech which really would appear normal to most of you.
His long term memory has been affected by the strokes so it is hard for him to recall things that are deep in memory such as certain scriptures and events.
Strength is an issue as the combination of the strokes and being in hospital bed for 10 days has made him very weak.
His walking is very poor and he get extremely tired from taken only a few steps in a walker.
Yesterday doctors informed me they found the source of his internal bleeding. There is either a large blood clot or a tumor (golf ball size) inside his bladder that had burst. It has stopped bleeding as of yesterday.
Today dad will undergo more procedures (photo, scans, ultrasound) to determine the actual definition of the mass found.
My mother visited in a wheelchair yesterday and he really brightened up after seeing her. She is fighting her own 11 year battle living with a debilitating, non-shaky form of Parkinson's. Mum is now in an assisted living 24 hour nursing home. Dad was the primary caregiver for mum and now is fighting for his life.
So mum is pretty lonely and feels so helpless there alone. Those of you that know her, please either call or write often as she really needs some contact. UPDATE:
To All of dad's friends in Christ,
For those that might not be aware, my dad had a TIA stroke last Wednesday March 4, 2009 at 10:30am.
After successfully dealing with that in hospital, he was sent home 4 hours later.
Then on Saturday morning March 7, 2009 I found dad unconscious at his computer. I called 911 and he was transported to hospital.
There all tests were performed. They found no damage on the Cat Scan or Ultrasounds but his walking was extremely poor and he can not stand without help.
Today, March 11, 2009 dad's health has taken a turn in the wrong direction.
His walking was very poor this morning using a walker with the two Physio attendants by his side.
He was still passing blood internally and was supposed to have a camera inserted through the urinary tract this afternoon.
After returning to his room he complained of being cold. He began to shiver and then about 10 minutes later his body began to shake. His blood pressure was critically high and his pulse was high. He was medicated for both.
His family physician was already in the hospital and attended promptly.
It was determined that he now has an infection in his blood stream, probably from the catheter.
When I returned to the room dad's eyes were glazed and he was confused and his speech slurred. They have said he had a third TIA stroke about 45 minutes ago.
I was asked to leave and let him rest. There will be no visitors allowed for the time being.
I anointed him with oil and prayed with him.
Please pray for Bob as he needs your prayers more than ever.
I would be pleased to accept any short phone calls should anyone feel the need to ring.
