The teams are in and the table is almost set. 18 teams have committed to the 4th Annual Cinco de Mayo tournament. Here's a run down on all the teams that are participating; Austin- Blue Jay's, Jokers, Castro, Manor- Dirtbags, Killeen- Killeen, Bryant- Longnecks, Denton- Triple J Terminators, Houston- Diablo's, Sportsmen, GEO-PER, El Paso- Amigo's, St. Joseph's, Katy- Jesters, Monterrey Mexico- Ace's, BJ's/Diamante Sport, San Antonio- Titans, Glowworm, Compadres.
The field looks to be strong. This past weekend I took a quick trip up I35 and it seems everyone is anticipating a very competitive field of 18. Manor, an up and coming squad brings with them a mix of new ball players and seasoned vet's. The Longnecks of Bryant Texas look to be a solid team with a rising pitcher. And the Jokers coming off a championship weekend look to double up this coming weekend in San Antonio. You can never count the Titans out, “keep-um within slam distanceâ€Â with power throughout the lineup there sure to make a statement early.
We have three new faces to this year's tournament. Monterrey Mexico's BJ's/Diamante Sport, St. Joseph's of El Paso, and Denton's Triple J Terminators. I'm sure they will not be disappointed.
