NY Gremlins Virginia Classic results

Here are our results from last weekends Virginia Classic.

The NY Gremlins went 4-0 in the Virginia Classic hosted by the Peninsula Merchants to open up our 2009 season. The Gremlins would like to thank the Merchants organization for being such fantastic hosts. The Merchants had to deal with rain and a schedule change due to a team dropping at the last minute all while playing in the tournament and did so without missing a beat. The efforts of the group did not go unnoticed and was appreciated by our squad. Details of the weekend as follows:

Gremlins – Jeremy Tracy opened the season with a perfect game against Cornerstone Excavating. The Gremlins offense was lead by Derek Pukash and Jay Herr who had 2 hits each. John Rozich and Dave Simon homered for the Gremlins.

NY Gremlins - Bryan Newton hurled a no hitter with 16K’s as the Gremlins beat the Peninsula Merchants 7-0. Reggie Barrau had 3 hits for the Gremlins offense. Jeremy Tracy and John Rozich homered for the Gremlins.

NY Gremlins - Bill Hillhouse threw a 2 hitter with 7K's in the Gremlins 10-0 win over the Merchants. John Rozich lead the offense with 2 hits including a HR and=20drove in 5. Chad McConnell also had 2 hits and a HR.

NY Gremlins - Bryan Newton hurled the Gremlins 4th consecutive shut-out as the Gremlins won the Virginia Classic. Derek Pukash was 3-3, Jay Herr 2-2 w 3RBI & Chad McConnell hit a 3 run HR to lead the Gremlin offense.
 
The Gremlins will be back in action May 15-17 in Lancaster, PA for week 1 of the ISC Mid Atlantic Travel League.
