The #16 ranked Aurora (per ISC preseason rankings) outscored its opponents 54-6 over a 5 game stretch which included a great extra-inning championship vs. New Image. Along with those mentioned in the article: Doug Gillis made the trip and pitched very well for the Shamrocks. Also contributing with homeruns were Dave Schuett, PJ McKinney, Mike Glock, and Dave Perkins. The Shamrocks are next in action Thursday, May 14th in a DH vs. the Dekalb Hustlehogs. We will compete for an ISC World Tournament berth May 16th & 17th at the Dick Tracy Tournament at Sportscore in Rockford, IL.

DeKalb Tournament -- The Aurora Fastpitch Softball Association's Dolan & Murphy went 5-0 in the tournament, beating New Images of Wisconsin 6-5 in the title game behind the pitching of Ales Jetmar (4-0 in the tournament).
Luis Saldana had a three-run homer in the title game and Camden Decker and Jarod Gutesh had RBIs in the eighth inning to rally the Shamrocks (9-0 this season) from a 5-4 deficit.

Mike Glock had 12 RBIs in the tournament, Adam Perkins had three home runs and six RBIs and Gutesha had two home runs and six RBIs. Area Roundup
