After taking a year off the Cobourg Force Men's Masters fastball team are back. The Force won the 2007 Ontario Masters
Championship but did not compete in any masters tournaments in 2008. The 2009 edition of the Cobourg Force Masters will
feature several returning players from the 2007 championship team including pitcher Wayne Wells. The Force will be
attempting to add some new faces to the line-up to replace others who have since retired. One new face and notable
roster addition is pitcher Steve Ketchell.
The Cobourg Force are looking to add a few key players to our roster for the 2009 Ontario Masters Championship to be
held at Ker Park in beautiful Niagara Falls July 17-19. Each year the Ontario Masters Championship gets more competitive
with stronger players finding their way to the master's scene. Many master's teams boast elite level ISC II pitchers and
position players. The Cobourg Force Masters are looking to add a few of these elite level players who are currently
playing at the ISC II level or players who have previously played at the ISC level.
Age Eligibility Rules
With the exception of underage players, all pitchers and position players must be a minimum of 40 years of age, you can
actually play in this year's Ontario Masters Championship if you're 39 years old as long as you turn 40 ANYTIME during
2009.
Each team is allowed 3 underage players between 35-39, you can actually play as an underage player at this year's
Ontario Master's Championship if you're 34 years old as long as you turn 35 ANYTIME during 2009. Underage players can
not pitch.
