The Decatur Pride moved their record to 14-2 over the weekend, capturing the NAFA State Tournament in Springfield, IL. This was the Pride’s second tournament win in a row, following their first place finish in the Teutopolis Memorial Day Tournament the weekend before. Brent Stevenson was named the Most Valuable Pitcher and Rick Minton took MVP honors.

The Pride is back in action this weekend with doubleheaders on both Saturday and Sunday with Aurora Dolan & Murphy. Saturday night is Hall of Fame night when the Pride will recognize and honor all Illinois Hall of Fame members in addition to any other former Central Illinois ball players who are in attendance.
