Argentina and New Zealand in Ontario

Team Argentina will be in Kitchener June 5 6 and 7th at the Legends of
Fastball Classic.

The Argentine team is playing in the Hallman Division of the 8 team
tournament, They will compete with the host club and ISC World
Champion Rivershark Twins, the Owen Sound Selects, back this year in
ISC league and tournament play, and the Mike Cutro's CPI, which has
merged this year with Jim Wilson's Dundas ADS...

Argentine plays Owen Sound selects at 9pm Friday nite, CPI/ADS 9 am
Saturday morning and the host Rivershark Twins at 1:30 Saturday
afternoon. Playoffs begin early Saturday evening

Team Argentine has several team members on ISC ball clubs, including
Gustave Guerrinieri, outfielder with Saskatoon, Fernando Petric
D'Agostino with Green Bay also in the outfield, Bruno Motroni is the
NorthWest Stampede's catcher, and Sebastian Gervasutti pitches for the
California Athletics.

Argentina heads down the 401 to Innerkip, on Monday evening for a double
header with Norwich.
Coach (and ISC Umpire) Rob Deakin will add some
league players to the Norwich squad for the double header which starts
at 7 at the Innerkip ball park.

Here is some more information on the two Black Sox games in the
Kitchener area.

To celebrate the.10th anniversary of the municipality of Mapleton, home
of the Drayton Festival Theatre the three time ISF World Champion Black
Sox will face a strong squad of South Perth League ball players. Drayton
ball park is getting a face lift as part of this celebration. Mapleton
is a lovely forty minute drive north of KW or Guelph.

Proceeds of the game are being directed to recreational needs of the
village of Drayton and the municipality of Mapleton.
There will be fireworks to celebrate Canada Day following the game.

Two South Perth League clubs are also lacing up to face the ISF Champs
in Kitchener the following week. ISC Commissioner Rick Boyd, coach of
the highly ranked ISC II Bridgeport Braves and the KW Cubs managed by
Brad Thomson will meet the Black Sox at Kitchener's Woodside Park.
This venerable ball park was the home of the Kitchener Evergreens of the
Ontario Fastball League many years ago.
