We are just a couple of days away from the 2009 Wyevale Tribe Tournament, and things are coming together quite nicely.
 
Right now the weather looks impecable for Friday and Saturday, with Sunday showing some light rain.  Hopefully we can dodge the rain on Sunday and have a final day under great conditions.
 
Action begins Friday night with 4 games including matches between the Palermo Athletics & Minesing Mayhem, and the Kitchener Outlaws will be taking on the host Wyevale Tribe.  Action will continue throughout Saturday with the single elimination playoff round starting late Saturday afternoon and concluding Sunday evening.  I'll be sending scores into Al throughout the weekend, so you can follow the action there if you are not in attendance.
 
Port Elgin looks to be the favourite this year (as they seem to be each year) coming off their 2nd place finish at the ISC II Innerkip qualifier.  There is a pretty competitive field this year, so look for their to be some upsets.  
 
Last year the Scarborough Wolverines needed a late Saturday night victory in the 'play in' game just to make it to Sunday's playoffs.  On Sunday, they rattled off another 3 straight wins besting Port Elgin in the final, and claiming the $1,500 first prize.
