There were no fire works, pork bar b cues or classic car shows like weenjoyed in Drayton but the fans at Woodside who braved the cold Julyweather saw a powerful demonstration of hitting by the ISF WorldChamps. The Black Sox put a strong hitting lineup on the field and theyproduced.

Opening ceremonies mc'd by John Thompson featured two former hockeyOlympians (Beryle Klinck, Rachel Schill),  promoting the Olympic TorchRun in Kitchener this coming December 27th, Hallman RiversharkTwins/Team Canada catcher Craig Crawford,  and representatives of theRegion of Waterloo, (Tom Galloway) and Kitchener,  (Kelly Gallloway),Pete McIllwaith with an invitation to come to Peter Hallman Ball Yardin August for the Women's National Fastball Championships Aug 12 to the16, and three flag bearers from KW Minor Fastball.

The Hallman Twin Juniors were on hand to be congratulated forqualifying to play in the Canadian Junior Championships being held inOwen Sound August 2nd to 9th. Coach Rick McLean told me that they arelooking forward to the Canadians and have plans to add a couple ofplayers to the roster.  Go Twins....

Brad Thomson manager of the KW Cubs mentioned that plans are almost complete for this years Senior and Intermediate OASA championshipsbeing held July 31st to Aug 2nd at Hillside Park in Waterloo.

Next stop for the Black Sox as they continue to rip thru the fastballparks of mid western Ontario is in Tavistock this weekend.

Perhaps Jarvis, St Thomas or the Sebringville Sting can slow this BlackSox team down.
