After spotting Micksburg an 8-0 lead after three and a half, Fitzroy scrambles back to 8-5 and leaves the bases loaded in the fourth and fifth.

Jon Swaine had a no-hitter through five innings and a 1-0 lead on a Pat Severin RBI double in the third.  Pinch hiter Al Read broke up the no-hitter with a single to lead off the bottom of the sixth.  Then with two out, Todd Fraser hit the game winning homerun just clearing the fence in centrefield.  This was Fraser’s fourth homerun of the day in three games.
