an RBI single, advanced to second on the play at the plate and
then stole third.  He was later brought in on a sacrifice fly
by Barry McIntyre.  Brad Steege had a solo HR for Micksburg in
the fourth.  Corey Costello had a solo HR in the sixth – this
was CostelloÂ’s fourth home run of the tournament.  Waterdown
was eliminated and finished fourth.

Veteran lefty Lenny Burger pitched very well in relief to get
the win for Micksburg.  Kingston was eliminated and finished
third.

LP – Joran Graham with relief from Len Burger (1K)

HR – Scott Herriot, Randy Peck (Team Easton)

Micksburg ran out of gas and lost in the final to Ottawa Team
Easton Thunder.  With Corey Costello hurting, the Twins started
17 year old Joran Graham who held Easton scoreless over three
innings before Easton scord four in the fourth.  John Peck had
an RBI single driving in his brother Randy.  Later in the fourth
inning, Daryl Buttar drove in two with a double and subsequently
scored on a Pat OÂ’Connor single.  Scott Herriot and Randy Peck
both hit solo homers in the fifth to give Easton the 6-0 win
in five innings.  Ottawa Team Easton Thunder wins the Eastern
Ontario qualifier over Micksburg for the second year in a row
and accepts the berth to the Tournament of Champions.  Micksburg
finishes second and was offered a berth to Kitchener as well,
which they have indicated they will accept.
