The Mid Atlantic Fastpitch Travel League (MAFTL) concludedits’ 3rd and final travel league weekend in Lancaster, PAJuly 18-19. The NY Gremlins won for the 3rd time in a row, defeatingKeating’s Fitness in the title game by a 4-2 score. Jeff Hook of theGremlins provided the fireworks in this game, connecting on a Dave Stokes riseball for a Grand Slam HR. Gremlins starting pitcher Jeremy Tracy kept theFitness men off stride for the first 4 innings, limiting Keatings to 1 run.Things got a little dicey for him in the 5th, as a BB and a singleput runners in scoring position. Bryan Newtown relieved, getting out of the jamby allowing 1 run. Newtonclosed the door from there, striking out 4 in the final 2 innings.
