Week thirteen
Well, a little clarification occurred over the last week. We now have the eight teams we know will be in the A side playoffs, we just have no idea where each will finish.
In the Black division, The Kings, Black Sox, Bell Cartage and Smoke will advance to the second season. But each have one or two games left (the Kings have four!!) and the point difference between the four teams is two. Two points between first and fourth place. This week will be crucial to these four teams and their standing in the division.
The Red division is eerily similar. The Selects hold the top spot, one point over the Reds, two points over the Classics, and they all have two games left. The Diamond Jaxx sit in fourth but are only two points behind that group.
Once the standings shake out, the playoffs will see some great match ups as the first round crosses over so Red #1 will face Black #4, Red #2 vs Black #3, Black #1 against Red #4 and Black #2 well see Red #3.
The B Side this year will consist of the Wizards, Paris Predators, Cardinals, Bulldogs, Moonshiners and the Predators. These standings are still to be determined as well. The B playoffs will be single-elimination tournament style, with the fifth place finishers in each division receiving a first round bye. Red #6 will face Black #7 and Black #6 will go up against Red #7 in a one-game playoff. Of the two advancing teams, the one with the lowest regular season point total, will face the #5 seed with the highest regular season point total. The two teams advancing from those one-game match-ups will compete in a best two out of three final for the B side.
