I need to pass some very sad and unfortunate news. Evelyn Payne, mother of Chris Payne, has passed away after a brief battle with cancer.
Mr. and Mrs. Payne were avid supporters of Payner's teams over the years. Though not able to get to the ball park as often since they were involved in a horrific accident in 2005, they still supported the team at various events and fundraisers.
She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Funeral information will be published in the Toronto Star either Thursday or Friday.
