Crazy game at Ker Park last night to close out the Red Hot Chili Pepper/Cool Hand Lukes 3 game set. Lukes won the game in the T7 on a triple by Scott Tweedie cashing in Darrin Grey who reached on a hit by a pitch. Tom Berube set down the Pepper in the B7 to secure the win. Pepper jumped out to a 5-2 lead early in the game behind a three run homerun by CF Darryl Breadner, Lukes CF Will Parent also had a solo shot early on. The lead lasted to the fifth when Lukes James Atkinson hit a 2 run homer to tie things up, setting the scene for the 7th inning winning run. Berube pitched 4 scoreless innings in relief of Ronny Winger fro Lukes.
The win closes out this close series and Lukes advances to play Storms Fury starting Monday evening 7:30 pm. Game 2 is scheduled for Wednesday night and game 3 Thursday night 7:30 starts.
