In game five of the finals (game 162 of the season), with the weather at its
coldest and windiest of the season, the Diamond Jaxx got the bats going and
took a 4-0 lead into the 6th inning only to see the Kings strike back and
score seven in the bottom half.
The Jaxx managed to plate one more in the top of seven but it wasn't enough
as the Kings secured their first KFL championship.
It was a great game that capped off a fantastic series and I would like to
congratulate both teams on such a well-played set of games.
That's it for the 2009 season and I would like to extend congratulations and
thanks to every player, coach and fan that came out this season. Keep an eye
on the website as updates will be made in the next few days about the
year-end meeting and over the next couple months as planning has already
started for 2010.
