Despite the cold, windy weather we had a great tournament.
Thanks to everyone who helped make it happen.
The Jefferson Eagles won the 2009-10 Boy's State Fastpitch Tournament.
1st Place-Jefferson
2nd Place-Newtown-Harris
3rd Place-Tina-Avalon
4th Place-NE Nodaway
Consolation-Gilman City
I have attached the bracket with scores.
Please let me have any corrections.
Don't forget that Winston will be hosting the
All-State meeting on Monday, October 12 at 7:00
(after the HDC all-conference meeting at 5:30).
I have attached 2 forms dealing with that subject- an explanation letter and a nomination form.
Please have any nominations in to me by Friday.
Some post tournament thoughts....
There will have to be some bracket change for next year as we are losing NE Nodaway.
There was some talk of bringing back time-limits for the first round games.
We'll talk more about that at the All-State meeting as well as evaluating the continuation
of the loser's bracket. Pro or Con?
I have to apologize for not checking on water jugs with Danner Park.
That was something that was provided in the past and I didn't verify.
We will be examining our bus parking situation at Danner Park and see if we can solve that problem for next year.

The corresponding date for the rules meeting at Winston is August 12 at 7:30....I'll confirm that.
First allowable contest is August 23.
State conference seeds are due Friday afternoon or Monday morning, September 27.

Football schools...we have had times in the past where with a year notice they scheduled their
football game that week on Thursday instead of Friday. Please consider this or perhaps a bye week on
Oct. 1.

Thanks to Jefferson for bringing the enlarged bracket to hang on the concession stand
and more importantly, for the job they do on our fantastic State Trophies.
