As the numbers are slowly coming in for our annual league celebration scheduled for Saturday October the 17th out of the Royal Hotel in Garson I'm pleased to say and still we will not have a final approx. count for our caterer until Saturday , we should be looking at somewhere between 65 to 80 people which warms my heart .
We will be following this agenda :
1. 6:30 PM Cocktails [arrival of the people ;once you've bought your banquet ticket , the inside of your hand will be stamped and we will be asking you to write your name at the back of the ticket for a door prize to be drwan during the buffet; you may then mingle ,check out the memories in words and photos from the britol boards)
2. 7:00 PM the meal is served buffet style from our caterers the fine people at Neil's Independant Grocer in Hanmer , Ontario
3. During the meal light music 50/50 to be drawn around 10 PM
4. 7:30 PM draw for the door prize
5. 8:00 PM start of the awards celebration
A) A special tribute to Brad Rienguette by your MC Roger .If some would like to say a few words , you will be free to do so
B) A very special presentation to Paul Lizotte of the Garson Hounds for his perfect game fear back on September the 3rd by the greater City of Sudbury
C) Awards presenttion :
i] Regular `season : top hitter,top pitcher.most hiotd,most singles,most doubles , most triples ,most home runs ,best ERA , best slugging % ,most runs batted in . Voting awards through their peers : most sportsmanlike player, outstanding eldersman , outstanding rookie , most valuable player , Commissioner's Cup (first place finishers)
ii] Playoffs : top hitter , top pitcher , most sportsmanlike player , most valuable player , banner and championship trophy
6. 9:15 PM Lets dance ! Lets celebrate the 2009 season !
