NORTH YORK, ONTARIO- SoftballOntario is pleased to announce the re-appointment of Peter Kluszczynski of Barrie, ON as its Fast Pitch ProvincialUmpire-in-Chief.
Mr.Kluszczynski is an accomplished Softball Canada Level 5 Umpire with seventeen(17) years experience. An active Softball Ontario volunteersince becoming the Junior Development Umpires Program Coordinator on the FastPitch Umpires Committee in 2000, Mr. Kluszczynski has also worked with Softball Ontario as Provincial Deputy Umpire-in-Chief, a ProvincialTournament Umpire-in-Chief, and as a Clinic Instructor andEvaluator. He has also instructed at Softball Ontario’s Umpire Program Instructor Training Clinic weekend and attended MemberAssociations’ Annual General Meetings as a representative of Softball Ontario’s Fast Pitch Umpires Program. Mr. Kluszczynski hasalso been active in the Brampton Umpires’ Association, Softball Canada’s Blue Convention, numerous International Championships, and attended several ofSoftball Canada’s Canadian Championships.
The selectionof Mr. Kluszczynski resulted from Softball Ontario’s Fast PitchUmpire-in-Chief Selection Process, adopted by the Softball Ontario Board ofDirectors on August 29, 2007.
Upon notification of his re-appointment, Mr. Kluszczynski stated, “I am thrilled be given the opportunity to continue what I started. I am proud to be a Softball Ontario Umpire and honoured to serve as SoftballOntario's Fast Pitch Provincial Umpire-in-Chief. I am confident that Ontario has the best Umpires program in Canada will be for many years to come”.
