1st Annual Maccabi USA Invitational fast pitch Tournament

December 3, 2009

Long Beach, CA

Welcome to the 1st Annual MaccabiUSA Invitational fast pitchTournament.

Many of us play on teams together in Burbank, Sherman Oaks and Tournaments
throughout the year and have become close friends. ThisTournament is to thank
the participating teams for helping the U.S.A.“Open” and “Masters” teams prepare
for The 18th World Maccabiah Games in Israel thispast July, and give you some
background on the Maccabi USA program.

The Maccabiah games take place every4 years in Israeland are the Jewish version
of the Olympics. Players try outfrom all over the United States and two teams
(“Open” and“Masters”) are selected to represent the United States in competition
versus teams from countries like Venezuela, CanadaMexico and Israel. TheTeam USA
rosters include many Division onebaseball players from schools like Indiana(also played
in “high” Minor Leagues)USC, Ohio StateNorthwestern and the University of Hartford.

This past July in the 18thWorld Maccabi Games Team USAfinished second to Canadain
the  “Open”competition, and beat Canadafor the Gold in the “Master's “competition,
which is a 35-and-over event.

The experience of representing the U.S.A. and getting to see Israel issomething many of
us will never forget. While we strive to win Gold medals, the Maccabi experience is as much
about the journey as it is the final destination.

We plan on making this invitational tournament a yearlyevent, and hope that all of the
teams we invited here today, will join us year after year.

Happy Holidays to all and best of luck to all of the Teams.
